WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
As an Assessments Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of new referrals and carrying out assessments with individuals being supervised by the National Probation Service. You will work collaboratively with the Service Manager and Team Leader to ensure referrals and assessments are completed in line with contractual requirements and appropriate support can be arranged for individuals in line with their goals. You will act as an ambassador for CLI locally and will develop your relationship with external stakeholders such as partner agencies.
The role will involve using your initiative, dynamically assessing risks and effectively matching support workers with mentees. You will be required to follow instructions from the Service Manager and Team Leader to ensure your performance is in line with KPIs and contract requirements whilst ensuring you operate in line with CLIs strategic plan, mission and values. It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organise your workload whilst working as part of a team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Previous experience of dealing with referrals and assessments.
- Experience of data collection, administration and recording procedures.
- Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organisations and developing contracts and networks across a wide range of local services.
- Proven experience in dealing with a wide variety of individuals in a positive and confidential manner, both face to face and on the telephone.
- Good standard of general education.
- Knowledge and understanding of administrative processes.
- Professional curiosity with the ability and willingness to learn and apply learning to support delivery.
- High level of relationship skills: Empathy; caring; acceptance; mutual affirmation; and supportive.
- Ability to work across Greater Manchester to meet service delivery demands when required.

Bedford and Milton Keynes

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
As Team Leader, you will work closely with the Service Manager to contribute to successful delivery of service operations for the Bedford Borough/Central Bedfordshire SAMAS contract, criminal justice pathway, rough sleepers’ initiative contract. You will manage and motivate staff to deliver a high quality, effective service centered around the needs of the people we support. You will act as an ambassador for CLI locally and will work closely with the Service Manager to develop your relationships with external and stakeholders such as partner agencies.
The role will involve the coordination of the delivery of mentoring services for individuals by effective processing and completion of referrals and assessments in addition to the line management of employees working on service operations for the Bedford Borough/Central Bedfordshire SAMAS contract, criminal justice pathway, rough sleepers’ initiative contracts.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Experience of managing, supervising and coaching employees and/or volunteers, motivating them to drive success and positive outcomes.
- Experience in inter-agency working and/or building positive relationships with partners and/or stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following areas: the criminal justice system, homelessness, mental health, substance misuse and the work of Probation services.
- An understanding of best practice when working with individuals across different areas of challenge.
- Knowledge of how to assertively motivate, empower, challenge and develop people.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize work, delegate, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
As Engagement & Support Worker, you will work under the guidance of the Team Leader to contribute to the successful delivery of service operations for the Milton Keynes SAMAS contract. You will provide practical one-to-one weekly support and constructive activities to help those we support. You will act as an ambassador for CLI locally and will work in partnership with staff, volunteers, and the people we support to guarantee that we maintain a high-quality service which meets the needs of those engaged.
The role will involve working with a maximum caseload of 15 mentees at any one time and your aim within the role will be to support mentees with building positive changes in their lives and achieving their goals. Alongside the practical support, other typical duties will include completing assessments and care plans/action plans, monitoring journeys, quality assurance and reporting progress. You will be required to follow instructions from the Team Leader to ensure your performance is in line with KPI’s and contract requirements whilst ensuring you operate in line with CLI’s strategic plan, mission and values. It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organise your workload whilst working as part of a team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Experience of working (or significant voluntary experience) within criminal justice services, drug & alcohol recovery or treatment services, homelessness/housing services or mental health services is highly desirable.
- Experience of promoting the rights, responsibilities and informed choice of the individuals, acting as an advocate to promote independence.
- Proven experience in dealing with a wide variety of individuals in a positive and confidential manner, both face to face and on the telephone.
- Experience of data collection, administration and recording procedures.
- Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organisations and developing contacts and networks across a wide range of local services.
- Good standard of general education.

As GROW Trainee/Peer Advocate, you will work under the close guidance of the Service Manager to contribute to successful delivery of service operations for the Bedford Borough/Central Bedfordshire SAMAS contract, criminal justice pathway, rough sleepers’ initiative contracts. You will develop your skills and knowledge to provide practical one-to-one weekly support and constructive activities to help those we support. You will act as an ambassador for CLI locally and will work in partnership with staff, volunteers, and the people we support to guarantee that we maintain a high-quality service which meets those engaged.
The role will involve working with a maximum caseload of 10 mentees at any one time and your aim within the role will be to support mentees with building positive changes in their lives and achieving their goals and/or facilitate recovery and peer support groups. You will be required to follow instructions from the Service Manager and Team to ensure your performance is in line with KPI’s and contract requirements whilst ensuring you operate in line with CLI’s strategic plan, mission and values. It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organise your workload whilst working as part of a team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
As a Housing Project Worker you will be responsible for providing housing-related support to people who have either been through the criminal justice system, have been affected by drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness or mental health issues which has resulted in them being unable to retain their accommodation placement. You will act as an ambassador for CLI locally and will work closely with the Head of Housing and the local Service Manager to develop your relationships with external stakeholders such as partner agencies.
The role will involve working with mentees on a one-to-one basis; you’ll be responsible for assessing their needs, preparing tenancy support plans and supporting mentees to achieve their individual goals of securing independent living. Alongside this you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Housing with housing management responsibilities such as weekly Health & Safety checks and minor repairs and maintenance for the recovery housing. You will be required to follow instructions from the Head of Housing and local Service Manager to ensure your performance is in line with KPI’s and contract requirements whilst ensuring you operate in line with CLI’s strategic plan, mission and values. It is essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organise your workload whilst working as part of a team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Experience of housing management or working in a residential setting with those with complex needs including challenging and/or negative behaviour.
- Experience of supporting individuals to initiate tenancy sustainment in the community.
- Knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following areas; the criminal justice system, homelessness, mental health, substance misuse and the work of the Probation services.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
