New partnership for CLI to support drug and alcohol recovery services across Shropshire

We are delighted to be working in with With You, a leading drug and alcohol support charity, to improve how drug and alcohol recovery services are delivered to local people across Shropshire.

Data estimates that 28% of the adult population across Shropshire drink more than the recommended 14 units of alcohol a week^[i] and 7 in every 1,000 people aged 15 to 64 years are dependent on opiates or crack cocaine^[ii].

Recognising the need for further drug and alcohol recovery services for people living across Shropshire, With You and CLI have joined forces to apply CLI’s leading recovery model, enhancing the services that people can access in their local communities and increasing the options and support that is available to people after they leave structured drug and alcohol misuse treatment.

With You currently provide drug and alcohol treatment services to 1,056 adults across Shropshire and run a number of recovery-focused services, including focus groups and post treatment check-ins across Shropshire. We will be applying our proven approach of peer-led mentoring alongside practical and emotional support, with the aim of helping people on their recovery journey to build a more fulfilling life and see how they can become part of their local community.

Plans are now underway for With You and CLI to work together in Liverpool and Wigan and we will be launching these shortly.
